A Tiger Cub in the Snow: A Cold Night, a Warm Heart

It was a bitterly cold winter evening. The wind howled through the trees, and thick snow blanketed the ground like a white ocean stretching endlessly in all directions. Most creatures had found shelter, retreating into warmth and safety. But as the young man drove along a narrow, icy road on the edge of the forest, his headlights caught something unusual—something small and moving, huddled against the snowbank.

He pulled over immediately. As he stepped out of the car, icy wind slapped his face, but he barely noticed. His eyes were locked on the fragile shape ahead.

There, trembling violently and barely conscious, lay a tiger cub. Its fur was soaked from melting snow, its paws red from the cold. It looked no older than a few months. Its body was thin, ribs visible under the striped coat, and it let out a weak cry—half growl, half plea. The man’s heart clenched.

No mother in sight. No tracks nearby. Just a baby predator, abandoned in the harshest of conditions.

He moved closer, slowly and calmly, kneeling beside the creature. The cub flinched, but lacked the strength to run. Without hesitation, he removed his thick coat and wrapped it tightly around the small body, lifting it carefully into his arms. The cub was cold as ice, but still alive.

Back at home, he lit a fire, laid out thick blankets, and gently dried the cub’s fur with warm towels. He boiled water, filled heat pads, and placed them close to the animal’s body. Bit by bit, warmth returned to the cub’s skin. Its breathing grew steadier. It blinked up at him with glassy amber eyes, still afraid, still confused—but alive.

He named the cub “Yuki”, the Japanese word for snow — a reminder of the night it was found and saved.

Over the next days, Yuki’s recovery became his top priority. He built a temporary enclosure in his heated garage, consulted with wildlife veterinarians, and followed strict guidelines on feeding and care. Bottle by bottle, step by step, Yuki grew stronger. His once-feeble cries turned into confident purrs. His limbs, once frozen, now carried him around with curiosity and playfulness.

Though Yuki was a wild animal, the bond that formed between them during those early nights was unshakable. The man would sit by the enclosure for hours, reading aloud, offering comfort. And when Yuki pressed his small head against the man’s hand, there was a silent understanding: You saved me. I trust you.

The snow outside continued to fall, but inside, life was returning to a creature that had once been left for dead in the cold.

In time, Yuki would be transferred to a proper wildlife sanctuary, where he could roam freely and safely, but the memory of that freezing night — and the man who gave him a second chance — would stay forever etched in both their hearts.

Royal-owned Mercedes-AMG G 63 V12 hits auction block

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, synonymous with rugged luxury, has seen numerous high-performance iterations under AMG’s guidance.

However, few are as rare – or as secretive – as the Mercedes-AMG G 63 V12. Hidden from public release, this ultra-exclusive SUV has resurfaced in Dubai, a fitting locale for such an extraordinary machine.

Unlike its more ubiquitous V8 counterparts, this G 63 features a monstrous 6.3-litre V12 engine. Producing just a hair under 330kW, it pairs with a five-speed automatic transmission. While modest by modern AMG standards, this powertrain was moderately innovative when the vehicle debuted two decades ago.
